Aegis Mirror

Egyptian Mirror

In Egypt, an aegis is a protective shield - often decorated with images of a patron diety to be worn or held. The concept of the Aegis transcended Egypt. The Roman God Jupiter bore a shield called Aegis, made for him by Vulcan.

This Aegis is made into a hand mirror which can be used in ritual, for scrying or as a portal to the other side on your altar. The mirror is beveled and the handle and back are beautifully detailed.

Ankh Mirror

Ankh Mirror

The Ankh was, for the ancient Egyptians, the symbol (the actual Hieroglyphic sign) of life but it is an enduring icon that remains with us even today as a Christian cross. It is one of the most potent symbols represented in Egyptian art, often forming a part of decorative motifs.

Here the ankh functions as a hand mirror which can be used in ritual, for scrying or as a portal to the other side on your altar. The mirror is beveled and the handle and back are beautifully detailed.
